- First UK Edition [Sampson, Low, London, 1949*]; 192 pages; green cloth, red blocked image to front board, titling on spine, pictorial endpapers, post-war paper age-toned, light foxing to block, an excellent copy; in like illustrated dustwrapper, not price-clipped [John Martins store sticker over original price], lightly rubbed, edges a little bumped, 2cm tear at spine top, a couple other smaller closed tears
- The first Dana Girls Mystery Story [first published in the US in 1934] which follow the adventures of sisters Louise & Jean Dana
- Ghost-written by Leslie McFarlane for the Stratemeyer Syndicate [who were responsible for Nancy Drew, The Hardy Boys & The Bobbsey Twins among others]
*undated but the original series went out of print in 1944 before being reissued with this jacket design in 1949 & presumably coinciding with this UK release. Advertising on rear for The Vicki Barr Stewardess series confirms this date to 1949-50.
