  • #2 The Hidden Staircase – 224 pages, green cloth boards, blue silhouette image & title to front board, titling to spine, rubbed on edges, spine ends bumped, blue topstain, light spotting on foredge, illustrated endpapers, an excellent copy; in the very good illustrated dustjacket, price-clipped, bottom corner of front cover has triangular loss running 5cm along base & up 1cm on foldover, bumped & chipped at extremities, a couple small closed tears
  • #3 The Bungalow Mystery – 219, [5 blank] pages, green cloth boards, blue silhouette image & title to front board, titling to spine, cloth rubbed with some discolouration, blue topstain, illustrated endpapers, a very good copy; no dustjacket

• Carolyn Keene was the nom de plume used by the Stratemeyer Syndicate to author the Nancy Drew & Dana Girls mysteries [Stratemeyer were also responsible for The Hardy Boys & Bobbsey Twins series]
• First published in the US [Grosset & Dunlap, 1930-31], the Nancy Drew series has become a worldwide phenomenon
• These first six titles were the only Nancy Drew books published by Harold Hill with later UK publications by Sampson Low
