  • First Edition [Harvey & Darton, London, 1838], handsomely rebound in 3/4 leather over brown cloth, titling in gold to spine, two tiny spots to cloth on front board; viii, 136pp, top corner title page cut out [presume name removed], internally excellent aside from a couple dirty fingerprints in margin and v. light foxing.
  • Robert Gouger was one of the founding fathers and “most devoted promoter” [ADB] of the new settlement in South Australia.
