• Ward, Lock & Co produced many of these red guides but due to their construction & utilitarian nature those that have survived are often in some disrepair – these are very nice copies from two distinct vintages
• South Cornwall Thirteenth Edition [Ward, Lock & Co, London, 1940*]; 168, xii; red fabric pasted onto thick cardboard, advertisements as endpapers, rubbed with some loose threads on edges, a couple marks, foldout maps generally excellent with occasional tear at joint, an excellent copy
• With ten district maps & plans, numerous illustrations & a special section for motorists
